This Cookie Notice explains how the NPLabs portal at pharmacy.nplabs.online (the "Portal") uses cookies and similar technologies. It supplements our Privacy Notice.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, remember you between pages, or report on site usage. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage.
2. What the Portal uses
The Portal uses only strictly-necessary cookies and similar storage. Each item below is required for the Portal to function.
| Name / pattern | Purpose | Provider | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
__session, __client_uat, __clerk_* | Authentication and session management; remembers that you are logged in | Clerk (authentication provider) | Strictly necessary — HTTP cookie | Session or as set by Clerk (typically up to the session lifetime) |
| Convex WebSocket session identifier | Maintains the real-time connection that powers the Portal's live updates | Convex (backend provider) | Strictly necessary — session storage | Browser session only |
| CSRF token | Prevents cross-site request forgery on state-changing actions | NP Labs (first-party) | Strictly necessary — HTTP cookie | Session |
| Preferences (where applicable — language, theme) | Remembers your interface preferences | NP Labs (first-party) | Strictly necessary for user experience | Up to 12 months or until cleared |
3. What the Portal does not use
We do not use:
- advertising or marketing cookies;
- third-party analytics tracking such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Hotjar, or similar;
- social-media pixels (Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, X) or tracking across sites;
- profiling or re-targeting technologies.
Where we need usage analytics to run the Portal safely, we rely on server-side event logging inside our own infrastructure. This does not set additional cookies on your device.
4. Why we do not ask for cookie consent
Under Article 4(5) of Greek Law 3471/2006, which transposes Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (Directive 2002/58/EC as amended), user consent is not required for the storage of, or access to, information on a user's device when this is strictly necessary for the provision of a service explicitly requested by the user.
Because the cookies and storage listed in section 2 are strictly necessary for the Portal to provide the service you have asked for (signing in to your pharmacy account and using the Portal), we do not display a cookie consent banner.
If we ever introduce non-strictly-necessary cookies or similar technologies in the future (for example, analytics), we will update this Notice and implement a consent banner before doing so.
5. Controlling cookies
You can configure your browser to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being set. If you block the strictly-necessary cookies listed above, the Portal will not work — you will not be able to sign in or use it.
6. Changes to this Notice
We may update this Notice. Because the Cookie Notice covers strictly-necessary cookies only, updates are information-only and do not trigger a re-consent prompt. The current version and effective date are shown at the top.
